The Vein Clinic of Texas was opened in 2007 by a board-certified cardiologist, Dr M. Akram Khan.

Dr Khan has been practising cardiology in the McKinney and Allen area since 1997. Dr Khan served as the first Chief of Cardiology at the McKinney Medical Center and was instrumental in developing a separate cardiology section there in 1999.

Dr Khan was also the Chief of Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital of Allen in 2003. Currently, Dr Khan serves as the Preventive Medicine Medical Director at The Medical Center of Plano. Read more about the cardiologist

Dr Ambreen Ashfaque, MD is a Doctor primarily located in Dallas, TX. She has 14 years of experience. Her specialities include Family Medicine. She speaks English.

Dr Ashfaque specializes in Varicose Veins and Spider Vein Treatment. She came on board with Cardiac Center of Texas/Vein Clinic of Texas in December of 2010 but has been around the clinic since 2003. She is a graduate of Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan.

She attended UT Southwestern Medical School where she did her internship and residency. Dr Ashfaque recently became certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine adding this to her list of professional accomplishments. She sees patients in our clinic in addition to performing the vein procedures for Vein Clinic of Texas here in our office.
