At your first appointment, the 60-90 minute session will include Digital panoramic x-ray or a digital full mouth set of x-rays: These images give us a good view of all the hard tissue of your oral cavity.

panoramic x-rays take less than one minute to complete and greatly reduces the amount of radiation to which our patients are exposed. We like to update this x-ray every 5 years. however, not all dental conditions can be diagnosed using panoramic x-rays. A full mouth set of x-rays is recommended in most cases where panoramic x-rays fall short. This is a 22 set of x-rays which cover all the dentition in the oral cavity.

Our dentists will determine as to which x-rays should be taken. Complete full-mouth charting of your gums: A vital component of checking for and monitoring gum disease and overall oral health is measuring “attachment loss.”We want to be sure that your teeth have the appropriate bone and tissue support to allow for proper oral and systemic health.
