Atoosa received her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1995, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She has been practising commercial litigation since 1997 when she was called to the Ontario Bar.

Atoosa got her start as a barrister at a boutique commercial litigation firm where she articled and practised for five years. In 2001, Atoosa moved to a large firm on Bay Street and joined their litigation group. She made partner in 2004. Atoosa set up her own practice in 2015 in order to continue to provide exceptional litigation service to clients without the overhead costs associated with large law firms. Iranian lawyer Toronto

Atoosa is the most senior practising Iranian lawyer in Ontario. She is fluent in Persian (Farsi) and French.

In 2005, Atoosa was recognized by the Iranian-Canadian Network as one of five Iranian-Canadian women who has shown leadership in their profession and is seen as an inspiration for the community.

Atoosa was co-founder and President of the Iranian Canadian Lawyers Association from 2002-2007 and co-founder and director of the Iranian Legal Professionals of Ontario from 2011-2013.

Since 2014, Atoosa has since been on the board of directors of the Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals (ICLP) and is now serving as Co-Chair. Atoosa also represents ICLP at the Roundtable Of Diversity Association (RODA).

Atoosa is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, The Advocate Society and Women’s Law Association of Ontario.
