Witnesses On the day of your wedding you must have two witnesses over the age of 18 to witness and sign the Marriage Register and Certificate of Marriage. Useful Contacts If born within Australia you can obtain a copy of your Birth Certificate from the State you were born in, as well as a Death Certificate of a former spouse, from the BDM State Registry Office. www.bdm.nsw.gov.au

Persian Aghd Fluent in Farsi and English, I can perform your Persian Aghd ceremony in either language or a combination of both. Various aspects of the traditional Persian (non-religious) ceremony can be incorporated into the Australian legal marriage ceremony to create a unique and seamless ceremony for you.

I will assist you in creating the words and rituals that have meaning for you. We can also integrate an explanation of the symbolism for your non-Persian guests. Additionally, I can give you advice and resources for designing and creating your Sofreh-Aghd.

Please note: Should I be unable to attend your ceremony, due to serious illness or any reason beyond my control, I will arrange for a professional and experienced replacement Celebrant from the Association of Authorised Marriage Celebrants Australia Inc to replace me, at no additional charge to you.
