Dr. Ryan Trulby is Madison Dental Group’s Orthodontic specialist. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University in 2011, Dr. Trulby continued on to receive his D.D.S. degree from the prestigious Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2015. While at Columbia he discovered his interest in Orthodontics and decided to focus his practice on that specialty.

Dr. Trulby remained at Columbia and earned a Postdoctorate Orthodontic Masters of Science degree in 2018. Dr. Trulby is motivated and passionate about providing orthodontic treatment.

He has extensive experience with Invisalign, Damon Bracket System, and Phase I Orthodontic Treatment.

Dr. Ryan Trulby was born in Manhattan, raised just across the George Washington Bridge in Bergen County, New Jersey, and lives in Upper West Side. After graduating from Rutgers University, Dr. Trulby received his dental degree at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he graduated number one in his class.

During his time at Columbia, Dr. Trulby received several awards including the Alpha Omega Highest Academic Achievement Award, the Abraham and Martha Barnett Scholarship, and the Dean’s Scholar Award and Scholarship. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Trulby completed a 3-year postgraduate orthodontic residency at Columbia University as well, becoming highly experienced in providing child, adolescent, and adult orthodontic treatment with braces and Invisalign.

He is also highly motivated to continue improving his clinical acumen and has taken multiple continuing education courses including the Aligner Intensive Fellowship, a rigorous 17-week course covering advanced child, adolescent, and adult Invisalign treatment.

Although he devotes his time to providing patients with beautiful, healthy smiles, Dr. Trulby is also focused on providing personalized customer service and establishing lasting relationships with his patients and their families.

Nothing is more rewarding than having the opportunity to treat siblings (and even parents!) of previous patients! In his spare time outside the office, Dr. Trulby loves spending time with his lovely girlfriend, Gaby, and rambunctious (and anxiety-ridden) boxer, Niko. He ran his first NYC marathon in 2017 and is planning on running many more in the future. Also, Dr. Trulby is a Spanish speaker (in training!), an avid reader and skier, and loves traveling and cooking.
