The atmosphere is friendly and helpful, and when he’s there you can count on his knowledge of the products and their utilization. Although the focus is Middle Eastern and Mediterranean, East Asia and other regions are also represented here.

This place is packed (but well organized) with TONS of fantastic goods. A friend and I spent half an hour in their just giving ourselves a tour. I left being reminded how boring most American foods are and how much I miss hanging out with my Bellydance crew, gnoshing on fantastic foods made with things you can only find in this kind of market. Farah W. So happy to find this store! I’m South Asian and grew up in the Middle East so I’m always dying for food and ingredients from overseas (just like I was always dying for American food when I was a kid, go figure ) and this place has everything! An Iranian Grocery store in San Francisco

I hoarded all my faves – Saudi style foul mudammas (fava beans, get some to eat with some fluffy bread for an amazing easy anytime meal), Indian spices and achaar (chutney or pickle in English?), Turkish delight (Hazer Baba the best!) and nougat, Persian rose water, Lebanese labneh (yogurt). The people that work there are so nice and even gave me some nougat for free Highly recommend anytime you’re in the mood to expand your horizons with some exotic international ingredients.
