Yasna joined the firm in October 2013 and practices civil litigation out of the Toronto office. Previously, Yasna was an associate with an insurance defence boutique firm. She was called to the Bar in 2013 after completing her articles at a litigation boutique firm.

Yasna Beheshti Lawyer has appeared before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and proceedings in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Yasna received her J.D. from the University of Ottawa and an I.B.B.A.(Hons) from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

While attending law school, she was one of the founding members and Treasurer of the Iranian Law Student Association.

Currently, she is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Toronto Lawyers Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers, the Advocates’ Society and the Iranian Legal Professionals of Ontario.

Yasna enjoys a broad litigation practice including personal injury, statutory accident benefits, priority dispute, loss transfer, occupier’s liability, property and casualty claims. She has appeared before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and proceedings in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

She has extensive experience conducting Examination Under Oath in Accident Benefits claims. Her style of questioning is conversational allowing claimant’s to reveal information which they may otherwise not want to discuss. She takes a conciliatory and reasonable approach with opposing counsel which allows for effective and timely resolution of claims.

Yasna is a lawyer specializing in insurance defence litigation. Currently, she is counsel at TD Bank as part of the Toronto legal staff team. Prior to her legal career, she has worked as a product manager at two top-tier international consumer packaged goods companies (L’Oreal Canada and General Mills Canada) for close to five years.

Yasna is passionate about community causes, especially those touching on diversity and equity issues. In 2013-2014 she was a Board member of the Iranian Canadian Legal Congress, in 2015 – 2017 a Board member of the Iranian Canadian Legal Professionals and in 2014 she was a core team member of a Federal Liberal MP’s nomination campaign team in Richmond Hill.
